DIANE J. FINDLAY is a firecracker, even when confined to a recliner. When she's let loose to enjoy her romance with Windslow, Findlay shows the kind of gusto that turns aging gracefully into love of life. She whirls about the kitchen, baking muffins and keeping Julie in line with sharp remarks, alol with a grin that lights up her face. Findlay nearly rescures the play by showing Cora's ability to find that smile again, without taking joy for granted.

At the age of 23, Diane J. Findlay found herself having to make a decision . . .
marriage or a career in the theatre.
Her wedding day was set . . . the gown -- a perfect fit, the wedding site to die for . . . but there was one problem: her fiance didn't want to share her with the world of show business! Now as life always does, a rather unexpected audition came up for the first replacement in chorus of the Broadway company of HELLO DOLLY, starring Carol Channing.
remember that day as if it were yesterday . . . I didn't know what to do, so I had a little talk with God and it went this way . . . OK GOD . . . if I do not get the job, I'll get married and be barefoot and pregnant . . . but if I do get the job . . . WE'LL TALK.
I MOVED INTO THE REHEARSAL CLUB A WEEK LATER . . .
and thus began my life as an actor . . . and the rest is history.
